More than one million heart attacks are reported in the United States yearly. Studies are showing that people who suffer from depression as well as heart disease have a much more difficult time recovering. The national Academy of Sports Medicine states that over 80% of adults suffer from lower back pain, there are 80 to 100,00 knee injuries yearly and in 2003 musculoskeletal problems were the number two reason that people went to visit their primary care physician. To make matters worse, 33% of our population is classified as obese. Currently, it is reported that 7% of Americans suffer from anxiety disorders and 6 to 8% of Americans suffer from clinical depression. So, what do all of these numbers mean? They mean that as a society we are not mentally or physically healthy.
Fortunately, research is proving that there is a very strong link between being mentally healthy and being physically fit. To help make this research a reality for the people living in the metroplex, Steven is excited introduce his newest program MOVE.
